ok, dating back.
KOREA! 1st day: was amazing was -2 degrees outside when we landed, thought it was cold.Boy was i wrong.anw it was i think 6 in the morning so went for breakfast, ramen w loads of weird stuff floating in e soup.the rest of the day was sightseeing or sitting in the bus sleeping.Kim Chi school, cool stuff, forced to make kimchi, cant say no cos its for the old floks home.Lunch was beef hot pot, quiet yummy,i think their bean sprouts there are pretty awesome. Honestly the buses there have amazing powers, once you sit you fall asleep in a matter of seconds. reached the hotel at night, there was a welcome reception. Couldnt wait to bathe!!! anw, after the reception and all had to pick a ski suit and then off to the room we went. But apparently the room was in the new wing. had NO idea how to get there. so we asked the hotel reception, guess what?!?!?! they didnt know either.its either their english or they didnt know.Good thing Peter Park(My bus's photographer) was there and he brought my family and I to the new wing. The rooms were AWESOME!!!!Lotte SEOUL Hotel ,five star. They even have bath salts, how cool! day2:seoul Breakfast in the hotel was good.their hashbrowns there come in funny shapes.its like cylindrical, but still, good to eat. Left the hotel in Ski suits. Early lunch and off to ski!temperature was -5 deg. had to queue for ski boots and ski plates, plus queuing to see how big our feet were.Honestly the local guide was trying to kill me, they gave me ski boots that were ULTRA small.my feet couldnt go in AT ALL.so changing and went out to ski. There were lessons about how you should climb the slope and all attended the lesson for like 15mins, it wasnt v effective. Went off w my bro to ski at a less crowded area.Skiing was FUN! after skiing for about 2 hours, which passed really quick,we returned our ski boots and plates and went off to take the gundola(i think thats how you spell it).Really rushed for time but the view was quite amazing.Standing at one mountain w snow and looking across , the other mountain was just...brown.The snows half artificial though. It was about -8deg at the top. After skiing and the gundola ride, back to the bus.My family was the latest cos of the gundola, actually we didnt have time to change, but no choice.I could, mum could, beo could, dad couldnt.Everyone else had clothes under there ski suits except dad.so yes ran to change and dad happily went to buy sausages on the way back.HA!Dinnered and then ginseng shop.Back to hotel. day3:seoul I remember gg out in the freezing cold air plus the wind to take a group shot.with 700plus ppl it was dead cold.Off to Ever land.Ever land was like cool! its the 5th biggest theme park in the world. Its another disneyland if you want to think of it this way, just that there are hot korean guys everywhere you go. HA! so yup.Its really another world, the atmosphere was real cool. like the roads and the cars and the shops really brings you into another world in itself. its like giant toys. There was a christmas parade which we missed, there was a christmas performance, which we ran to catch-quite cool stuff, european dancers mixed w korean dancers.Korean dancers are... hwat! Ok back to the point. A few rides here and there cos my bro wanted to take them. I didnt go for anything adventerous so i just went for the bumper car.Managed by two real funny korean guys. Then went to take the sky ride, the bottom of the sky ride was nearer to the safari so yup we went to the safari. Pretty kewl!got on to a tigerish looking coach with like much lower windows for viewing pleasure.Saw white tigers, pretty norm stuff they were just lying around, beat that! the Bears were the ultimate!they are trained and they do diff actions like when you go hallelujah or amnitorfor(however you spell it) they do that praying action and there are a few others too.The bears were ultra BIG!they can reach up to the roof of the bus, probably makes that about say 2-2.3m.After that, long ride back to the hotel cos everland is way out of seoul.Oh btw, it snowed, real small flakes though. day4: woke up in the dead of the night, it was probably 3 or 4. Got to the airport, when we got off the bus it wasnt snowing but once i stepped in the airport doors, WHEE! it started to snow, bigger flakes this time. Awesome stuff.Took pictures and then waited for the check in counter to open. Checked in our stuff, went off to board the plane. reached Jeju at about 6 or 7. breakfast was abalone porridge. Apparently peter was on another plane so he cabbed to meet us at breakfast. But our plane was delayed cos i think there was snow obstructing the pilot's view so they washed the plane down. After porridge they brought us to see... stone. It was spose to look like some dragon head thingyy. See Seesee.lunched more sightseeing. We went to loveland.Boy you wouldnt believe it. I am underaged but my parents call it education.I wouldnt say that the sculptures are obsene but they are just pure humour w .. i wouldnt call it a tinch of sensuality, its alot! Then they drove down this hill, its optical illusion,it looks like an uphill. The bus driver turn off his engine and the bus continue to move,Lucy Kim (our local guide) called it the kimchi spirit pulling the bus. HA!joke.night came, to hotel. Lotte hotel again, this time in Jeju. Lotte hotel is really near the teddy bear museum(if you watch goong you shld know), wanted to go on our last night at Jeju but ditched the idea. There was a volcano show at the back of our hotel so we went down to watch. Couldnt see much but the bursts of fire sure brought warmth to our faces. day5: Sightseeing was the main for the day.Went to see some waterfall. Pretty cool shots but the trees were definately an obstruction to the pictures. After the waterfall, another stone i think. Cant rmb much from that day other then going right back to the back of the hotel for lunch.Went to some place to see some more things, apparently its one of the sets for some korean drama.More sightseeing till dusk and then back to the hotel early cos the platinum achievers had a dinner. day6: back to singapore. Left early in the morning for Jeju airport. Btw,Jeju is not as cold as Seoul.Took a flight from Jeju airport to the Seoul domestic airport. I think its quite cool to have a domestic airport you can just go to Jeju w/o a passport from Seoul. At Seoul they brought us to the ramen place to shop. Its like a super market, just that they dont sell SOOO much. Its not the neccessities its stuff that the tourist MAY buy.Didnt buy anything there. Went off to the SEOUL-icheon airport. Thought we could buy something there but there was NOTHING to buy so yes. ON the plane and back to SINGAPORE. Back in Singapore, kinda miss the KimChi. But then, the feeling of being in a country where its safe and everyone is slim and almost(i would say 99.9%) all the guys are hwat, the feeling is great! Thats all for KOREA, pics another time. Sp empowerment was the next day after coming back from Korea. Abit crazy getting home at 10plus11 and gg out the next day at 8 till 6pm. But SP empowerment was GOOD.Its refreshing i would say. Got there late, worship started, worship itself was AWESOME!!!!Bro Andy shared about being a leader and calling to attention. What it really takes to be a leader: Lead by example Edify always Admonish in love(its an art to scold/whack ppl and they stil love you after that) Dedicate to serve Embrace the cross Reflect God Submission to leadership. Really reminded me what i was called to do. To guard your call is one thing, to do what you are called to do is another. Then Pgary shared about the Head, Heart and Hands thingyy. Effectivity in bringing your SBs to greater growth. Lunch was gladly sponsered by Ann's mum. It was Ann's birthday so yes, pizza and KFC. after lunch was a pretty long gel led by the 3 awesome newly stepped up Adult Leaders, Bro Shannen,Sis Hannah and Bro Andrew. after gel pgary shared about Burning your lamp brightly. some thing that hit me: passion cannot be taught yup its all about dying to your rights. Picking up your cross DAILYY!!! Answered to God's call,Laid my life at His feet, to let Him use me as a vessel. CAMP!!!! BATTLECALL! was awesomerr then everr. Honestly camp for me started on Monday-SP Empowerment.First service was dedication service.First song we sang was History Maker. YUP!!! I'M GNA BE A HISTORY MAKER!!!!! ok i'm gna stop here for camp.continue another time.fingers are....tired. ps i missed out one day for the korea trip, cant rmb. my memories are stored in the pics i took in the fuji camera, all the pics are in my bro's comp. |
